Brow Lamination Aftercare instructions

Do Not Wet

Avoid water and steam on the eyebrows for at least 18 hours

Apply Aftercare Oil - most important step

It is incredibly important that you are applying an aftercare oil every night to your brows. Brow lamination is a perming treatment therefore they will be dry. If you don't start immediately they may look fine but in a few weeks they will get unruly, messy and curly and it is hard to repair from that. You must start the aftercare on the second day of your lamination to keep your brows healthy and looking good. Plus, the oil will help them last a lot longer!

Please use lightweight oils specifically for hair such as sweet almond oil or argan oil. I also sell aftercare oils in my salon that I have specifically formulated for best results whilst also keeping the price low for my clients.

Castor oil alone is not good for treating the hair as the molecule of castor oil is too thick to penetrate the follicle. This will create a coating around the hair and block external moisture from getting into the follicle, ultimately drying it out more than if you had used nothing at all.

Must Style While Wet

A common misconception is that the brows will permanently be styled in a certain position for 6-8 weeks. That's not the case. You have to brush them each morning how you'd like to wear them. Brow laminations are activated by water so it's best if you brush them straight out of the shower. You can also use brow gel or brow oil instead of water.

My tip that I personally like to do is to apply my moisturiser all over my face after the shower (including my brows) and also do the same with my SPF and then brush them into place. I find the sunscreen helps the brows to dry down in the position and gives them a bit more hold.

Just remember moisturiser DOES NOT replace a brow oil.

No Self Tanner

Avoid self-tanner for 2-3 days after a lamination, especially if you had your brows tinted. This can cause the brows to turn orange.

Avoid Sleeping On Your Face

Especially in the first few days you'll want to avoid sleeping on your face and messing up the brows. They are dryer than usual after a lamination so you don't want to promote any breakage.
